During mandatory gymnastics bar routines, judges look for quality of execution of certain skills. The capability to do a handstand on the bar is one of the crucial abilities required to score well throughout competition. Step 1

Whip your legs back and upward, pressing your hips away from the bar. Lower on the bar with your arms and your upper body, extending your body and legs to develop a line horizontal to the floor.


Step 5


Lean your upper body over bench a little as your continue to kick your upper hands over your head with the aid of your abdominal muscles. Keep pressing with your arms and shoulders up until you’re completely extended into a handstand over bench.
